dc.description.abstractEn un bosc de Sòria, on es va rodar el film, hi ha molts extres vestits de militars, muntats a cavall cridant i corrents amb escopetes alçades. El paisatge està nevat i els soldats van vestits amb indumentària típica russa.

dc.description.transcriptionDavid Lean’s film of Boris Pasternak’s “Doctor Zhivago” is being produced in Europe, in Panavision and color, by Carlo Ponti for Metro Goldwyn-Mayer as the most important and significant motion picture of recent years. Robert Bolt, distinguished British playwright, has written the screenplay based on Pasternak’s great and famous novel which encompasses the highly dramatic experience of Russia over the past fifty years. Heading a cast literally of thousands are Omar Sharif, Julie Christie, Geraldine Chaplin, Sir Alec Guinness, Rod Steiger, Sir Ralph Richardson, Tom Courtenay, Siobhan McKenna and Rita Tushingham. </p>Start of the day's location filming in the cold and high city of Soria in northern Spain for David Lean's film of "Doctor Zhivago," which Carlo Ponti is producing for MGM.
